“ One of the most beautifully located restaurants in the area. Ideal date-night place Set on the hillside, about a hundred feet above the lake, La Cima del Copal boasts some of the most scenic panorama of Lake Chapala and the surrounding region. The atmosphere and decor are positively tropical, lending the restaurant something of a Caribbean flair. Service is friendly and exceedingly welcoming, while the food is of decent quality and well-presented. ProTip: The restaurant has attracted a colony of Coatis, which occupy the hillside below. Keep an eye out for them if you're sitting at the lake-facing tables. ”

“ We had 2 PM Lunch Reservations. We were seated at an end, corner table with beautiful views of Lake Chapala. The manager checked with us to assure that we were pleased with our table and meal. We enjoyed their complimentary homemade chips and salsa, as well as the Queso Fundido con Chorizo with tortillas as an appetizer. We also enjoyed cocktails of Whiskey on the Rocks and Sangria. For lunch we both ordered the Vacio de Res with Mashed Potatoes and steamed fresh vegetables. The beef was tender and flavorful and the portions more than ample to bring home to share a little with our Corgi, as well as a second meal. We recommend La Cima del Copal to residents and visitors to Lake Chapala. We look forward to returning. ”
“ Wow!!! At the top of the hill. The view of the lake was awesome. Arturo was our waiter and he was so good. We arrived to be greeted by 3 critters with long tails so got my critter fix for the day. We got there at 12:30pm. Was informed the kitchen doesn't start taking orders until 1:00pm 11/7/23 Tuesday. We had a drink and took in the amazing view. I ordered shrimp with fruit. It was served on a 1/2 pineapple. It included pineapple and peaches in a wonderful sauce plus rice and salad. It was heaven. The person I was with was showing me the area. This restaurant was a great choice. He had tacos. All portions are large. His looked tasty also. What an awesome experience; food and view combined. ”

“ We moved to Ajijic from Savannah, GA about 6 weeks ago and we've been exploring the wonderful restaurants in the area. We enjoyed a delightful late lunch at 2 PM last Sunday. The manager and servers were all friendly and attentive. There is ample parking at the top of the hill, and the views of Lake Chapala are spectacular - in a covered outdoor setting. We started with cocktails - Whiskey on the rocks, and Sangria, followed by Queso Fundido con Chorizo with fresh, home made tortillas. We both had the Vacio (Angus Beef Steak) with sauteed vegetables and mashed potatoes for lunch, and had plenty to bring home with us. Sadie, our Corgi, was excited to see food containers, and thrilled that we shared a little of our Steak with her. Everything was delicious and the views truly are breathtaking. We look forward to returning. ”
“ I always get the shrimp Diablo with corn tortillas Fantastic!!!! Dad had a shrimp Mocajate. And of course I always have bananas flambe. I am editing this review because every single time we have gone it's wonderful and consistent. The food, no matter what people order is delicious. My husband swears they have the best burgers and fries in all of Ajijic & Chapala. The customer service is wonderful, so attentive and the scenery is amazing. The cost is so reasonable. Thank you for truly loving your customers it's like coming home. ”
